The Estate was created in early 2000 as a collaborative creative writing game. Players are given a scenario and a set of constraints. They have the freedom to create anything that fulfills these constraints and submit it as a move in the game.
As an early example of online collaborative writing, The Estate Game attracted a number of talented individuals and created a puzzle game for non-players to enjoy too.
Due to various commitments, the original game was shuttered in 2001, backed up to a hard drive somewhere, and forgotten.
Recently exhumed, this site has the core content of the original Estate Game, re-presented for the enjoyment of a new generation of puzzle solvers.
The original Estate Game was never won.
